Does Bluejay cost anything for sitters?+

No. Bluejay is free for sitters, and we never charge a booking fee or take a percentage of what a family pays you.

How do I get babysitting jobs?+

You can browse requests on the Job Board and apply to the ones that work for you. Families can also find your profile and send you a direct booking request.

Do I have to accept every request?+

No. You choose which Job Board requests to apply to, and you can accept or decline any direct request based on your schedule and comfort level.

How do families pay me?+

Families pay you directly using one of the payment methods you add to your profile. Bluejay does not handle or take a cut of your pay.

Who can see my information?+

Your sitter profile is visible to Bluejay parent members. A family’s exact address and your contact information are shared only after a booking is confirmed.

What if I’m under 18?+

You can still apply. Before your profile can go live, you’ll invite a parent or guardian to review and approve your Bluejay account.
